After completion of training and the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in General Surgery, Mr Kulkarni undertook higher training in Plastic Aesthetic & Reconstructive Surgery in the London, East Grinstead, Chelmsford and Trent regions. This involved fellowships and specialist experience in cosmetic surgery, reconstructive surgery of the breast, microsurgery and hand surgery in the UK and Europe.

Mr Kulkarni has gained research trust awards for his clinical research in plastic surgery and this research work has resulted in a number of presentations and publications nationally and internationally. He is also involved in medico-legal work, which involves writing reports about patients’ injuries, scars and disabilities for solicitors.

Mr Kulkarni considers his work to help people achieve better quality of life by realistic understanding of their problems and tailored application of surgical and non-surgical techniques.
