It’s taken a long time to decide to go ahead and have a Tummy Tuck. I’ve had three children and as a result of putting a lot of weight during these pregnancies, I had a lot of excess skin below my belly. However, the thought of surgery had put me off for quite a few years. Last year (as I hit my 40’s and decided to give myself my own life) I started to look into the least evasive options.

On revelation that I would need a full tummy tuck, I met with a couple of different consultants, but the moment I met Mr Kulkarni, I had a gut feeling (excuse the pun) that I wanted him for my surgery. Mr Kulkarni’s manner was most polite, most understanding and most welcoming. We talked a lot about my wishes for my tummy and agreed on a full Tummy Tuck with some Liposuction too.

I booked in for my surgery at the Spire hospital .The surgery itself was absolutely fine. The staff at the hospital were amazing. Extremely friendly and personal. Each member of the surgery team came and introduced themselves to me before the op and made me feel important and cared for.

I saw Mr Kulkarni on the day he discharged me, where he looked at my tummy and checked that I was feeling ok before going home, then I saw him on week 1, 2 and 4, but safe in the knowledge I could contact him via Sharon at any point.

At two weeks I changed the dressing on my scar. The stitching was good though, and there was no seeping or blemishes or anything at all to worry about. I did have to take just over two weeks off work. I can fully recommend Mr Kulkarni for this surgery. As I mentioned above, he is kind, understanding and most of all a great surgeon. (hope this isn’t too long, and happy to talk to anyone needing a second opinion!)

My abdominoplasty with liposuction surgery was organised well and your ” new look ” team lead me through the whole anxious process and made it easy to go through with good after care during my visits. When I decided to have the ” breast reduction” surgery I was quite apprehensive due to my hypertension.The fact that you wanted me to liaise with my G.P. & get my blood pressure stabilised before you would consider doing it gave me great re assurance.

When the right time came you were absolutely professional, everything was explained to me & I felt very safe to go ahead. You were there on my arrival to hospital , again post operatively, & you kept in touch with the nurses about me.
